In the studio, the boîtes tableaux perform has colour and shape studies. They are momentary scenes that encapsulate fleeting thoughts and desires. They are ephemeral objects in constant flux that explores with materiality, temporality and spatiality of a tableau. Photographed and documented, they are later revisited for the potential they encapsulated. The life captured within the boîtes tableaux become the foundation from which a painting stems. They have been evolving alongside my painting practice, have influenced my painting compositions and currently considered as a more autonomous form of art.
